It has been recognised that a number of riders in the Snowy Mountains are coming to grief, usually riding with a group and riding at the back of the group.

It is thought that the rider at the back could be playing "catch-up" and is sometimes the least experienced rider, or on the least powerful bike or the least likely to know the road.

The purpose of the brochure is to raise awareness within the group that you have a responsibility for your mates and to not lead them into riding beyond their skill level.
